FRCI was created in 1989, and has grown to be recognised as a leading provider of IT Training, Services and Solutions in Mauritius and the surrounding regions.

In 1999, FRCI created a subsidiary company Maurisoft Solutions Ltd, which focuses its activities on the regional distribution of software such as Adobe, Propellerhead, Steinberg, Evolution and EMU.
 
In 2000, recognising the potential growth of value added Internet services in Mauritius, FRCI further expanded its activities with the creation of FRCI eServices Ltd, a subsidiary company dedicated to Web development and design.
